Manufacture of the P-107 began in 1938 and 3276 had been produced up to the fall of France.   After the Armistice production continued in various forms for the Wehrmacht.   The truck-bodied GS version  was designated "mitlere Munitionskraftwagen" (medium ammunition carrier) by the Germans.   Sixty of them were fitted with bench seats and used as troop carriers (2 + 8 men) by Schnelle Brigade West.
