The Adler 3Gd. medium personnel car was one of the final types of pre-war passenger car chassis modified for military use.    It had an open body, four seats and no boot.   It was powered by Adler's 2.9 liter engine, which drove the rear wheels only.   Fitted with a towing pintle, it became the Kfz. 12 and was used to tow the 3.7cm. Pak 35/36 or the  le.IG 18 light infantry howitzer.   Saw service during the invasion of France and the Low Countries and also on the Eastern Front.
