The Austin K2A chassis was produced for the R.A.F. in 1944/45 and bodied mainly as G.S., Domestic Fire Tender, Workshop and Power Equipment vehicles.
Powered by a six-cylinder 3462ccengine, driving the rear wheels via a 4-speed gearbox, the Ks had hydraulic brakes and leaf-spring suspension. By this stage of the war the headlights had been moved down to the front bumper. Total watrime K2 production was nearly 27,800.
